Description

The beautiful sand dune beach of Laga, set in the Biosphere Reserve of Urdaibai, along with Cape Ogoño (279 m), belongs to the municipality of Ibarrangelu.
It is one of the most beautiful stretches of sand on the Vizcaya coast. With its 574 metres of fine, golden sand, the beach is open to the sea. Its waves attract numerous surfers, although other water sports, such as sailing and paddle boating, are also practised. The most intrepid even paraglide from the top of Ogoño crag.

Moreover, Laga is a well-equipped beach, with showers, public lavatories, changing rooms, lifeguards and "hondartzainas". The surrounding area has a car park, bars, restaurants, extensive areas for walking and leisure facilities.

Moreover, it is worth noting that it has ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates, for quality and environmental management respectively.
