Sierra de Entzia

This is a large high plateau of green fields and beautiful beech groves surrounded by hills and with sheer drops down to the valleys located to the north and south. The route is simple and this, along with the spectacular views to behold, has made this mountain range a very popular place with mountaineers. Oaks, beech trees, elders, hazelnut trees... give great beauty to this landscape, which is inhabited by hawks, honey buzzards, redstarts and wild cats, amongst other animals.
The presence of humans since time immemorial can be seen in the prehistoric remains existing here. Shepherding is an activity which is still found here today.This area is currently in the process of being declared a natural reserve.

Routes
There is the possibility of making multiple trips. One of the most attractive excursions is to Igoroin gorge, which joins together the towns of Roitegui/Erroitegi and Musitu. Another option is to visit the open fields of Legaire
