USEFUL INFORMATION
Petritegi is a cider house whose origins date back to a farmhouse-press from 1526 located in Astigarraga. At Petritegi, history, innovation, culture, flavor, and emotion come together like nowhere else: the Otaño-Goikoetxea family has been involved in cider-making for over 100 years. Currently, the fourth, fifth, and sixth generations of a family exclusively dedicated to the production and sale of sagardoa are active, as well as welcoming customers at the cider house itself through the “txotx” ritual. This ritual consists of tasting natural cider served directly from the barrels (kupelak) in the cellar, accompanied by a traditional cider house menu.
The cider house is open all year round, in a natural setting 5 km from San Sebastián. We also offer guided tours of our cider house to discover our apple orchards, presses, the farmhouse, and the entire cider-making process. We have a shop with direct sales of cider and apple-based products.
