Amamana, which means "Grandmother's House" in Basque, was our grandmother's home. It has been carefully renovated and adapted to become a place where you can escape the routine, relax, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. HOUSE LAYOUT Amamana Country House, located beside the Artibai River, accommodates up to 10 guests. It features five double bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a spacious open-plan kitchen and living room with a fireplace. HOUSE FACILITES All bookings include bed linen and towels. The house is also equipped with central heating (during the heating season), hot water, free Wi-Fi, a TV, board games, tourist information about the local area, a first-aid kit, and cleaning supplies. LOCATION Amamana Country House is located in the peaceful neighbourhood of Ubilla-Urberuaga, just 3 km from Markina-Xemein, surrounded by nature and offering the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The area offers several signposted hiking trails and is close to the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve (35 km) and the Basque coast (15 km). It is also conveniently located 72 km from Vitoria-Gasteiz, 62 km from Donostia–San Sebastián, and 50 km from Bilbao, making it an excellent base for exploring the Basque Country. The house is just 100 metres from a Bizkaibus bus stop, providing easy access by public transport to nearby towns and to Bilbao.
