Sakoneta is located in Deba, in the Basque Coast Geopark, at the heart of the protected Deba-Zumaia Biotope. This is an area where the flysch reveals itself in all its splendour and where the tidal platform is more extensive than anywhere else. It is a territory for surfers and walkers seeking special places. It is recommended to follow the Sakoneta georoute or one of the guided tours offered by the Geopark to discover the biodiversity of the tidal platform. Visiting the site at low tide is an unforgettable experience.

 How to get there: it can be accessed on foot via the GR121, from the Errota Berri farmhouse-restaurant (1 km), from the Itxaspe neighbourhood and from the Elorriaga neighbourhood.
In the surrounding area there is a wide range of restaurants and accommodation.
