Today, the Zumalakarregi Museum is a reference centre for the study of the Basque Country in the 19th century. It shows the biographies of the Zumalakarregi brothers and the development of the XIXth century in the Basque Contruy, contextualized by the violence and difficulties of the transition from the Old Regime till the Liberalism, between the French Revolution and the Second Carlist War. The Zumalakarregi Museum is located in the XVIIth farm "Iriarte Erdikoa", where lived the Zumalakarregi family, whose outstanding members where: Tomás, a Carlist general, and Miguel, a liberal politician.
