Description

It is located on the old medieval road that connected Artziniega with Bilbao. It dates from the late 15th century. Its walls are made of masonry, and ashlar stone was used for the corners and the frames of the openings.

The façade is notable for its coat of arms, which bears the heraldic symbols of the Palacio lineage. The tower measures about 12 meters in height, 10 meters across, and its walls are one meter thick. Between the two intermediate floors is the coat of arms of the Palacio family in neoclassical style.

Attached to the tower is the Renaissance palace, added in the last quarter of the 16th century. Its most distinctive feature is the loggia that opens on the top floor, a structure consisting of a succession of lowered arches supported by Tuscan columns.
