The wine cellars of Elciego (Álava) are the best museum in which to contemplate the living history of Wines of the Heirs of Marqués de Riscal.
The first of the wine cellars dates from 1858. Inside, now used for the ageing of wine in barrels, we find The Cathedral, a bottle rack in which Marqués de Riscal keeps its best treasure: a unique collection made up of bottles of all the vintages produced since 1862.
¿How to get there?
From the AP-68 toll motorway take exit 10 for Cenicero / Nájera / Elciego.
Take the N-232 towards Logroño, but after a few metres turn left and follow the LR-512. Turn right along the A-3210 Cenicero through-road.
Enter Elciego.
